Echinacea purpurea x parado 'Fancy Frills'
Common Names: Coneflower

Description:
Fancy Frills flowers reach 3 to 5 inches wide and semi- to fully double. Each bloom boasts a large, wide brown central cone, surrounded by two to three rows of short, slender, very tightly-packed petals.

Fancy Frills reaches about 30 inches high and wide, and the flower stems are very strong. Great for cutting, these blooms are profuse and long-lasting. Like all Echinaceas, it's very tolerant of poor soil, drought, heat, and humidity.

Recommendations:
We like to use it along walks or borders. While it does bloom steadly until late fall we did find deheading helps.

Problems:
Remember that good drainage is recommended for all echinaceas. We first planted it in a sunny but damp location where it bloomed but never thrived, Once we moved it to a drier location it really took off.
