Description:
   Prairifire Crabapple has a rounded crown. New leaves emerge purple and turn reddish green as they mature. Flowers are a pinkish red color. The glossy dark red fruit are very vivid when reflecting sun. Fruit are 3/8 -
1/2 inch in diameter and are quite persistent. Bark is dark reddish-brown and attractive in winter. Requires full sun, tolerant to a fairly wide range of soil conditions. Prune to remove suckers and watersprouts.
