Viburnum cassinoides 'Chesapeake'
Common Names: Viburnum

Description:
Viburnum cassinoides Chesapeake was introduced in 1981 by Dr. Egolf and the US National Arboretum. The flowers are pink in bud, open white, with ever so slight fragrance. his shrub grows six feet high and eight feet wide. Leaves are semi-evergreen, lustrous dark green and wavy, a feature that separates them from eEskimoi with flat, planar leaves. Branches are somewhat brittle and will break with rough handling. The lack of significant fragrance possibly relegates this to the viburnum lover and collector level.
