Campanula persicifolia ''
Common Names: Peach-leaved Bellflower

Description:
Vertical stems arise from basal rosettes of larger leaves. Bell-shaped, papery, 1 1/2 in. flowers are held erect or nodding. A great addition to dress-up under Lilacs.

Recommendations:
* Very easy plant to start from seed. This campanula is well behaved and easy to grow. Divide often enough to prevent decline of plant.

* Sow seed in late spring outdoors. I start mine indoors in mid January at 68 F (20 C), with germination in 8 to 14 days in my trials. | Division in spring or fall.

* Cut back after first flush of flowers for a second bloom later in the season

* Side dress with compost or composted manures, light feeding with well balanced liquid fertilizer after cutting back first flush of flowers for a good second season of flowers.
