Hosta hybrid 'Whirlwind'
Common Names: Hosta

Description:
This version of H. 'Fortunei Hyacinthina' has a wide central band of white that contrasts dramatically with the darkest black-green leaf that we have seen. In dense shade, the central variegation tends to fade in the summer. The 3' wide clumps are topped with lavender flowers in midsummer.

Recommendations:
- Plant in spring, in humus-rich soil.
- Divide the clumps every third or fourth spring.
