Miscanthus sinensis 'Yaku Jima' Common Names: Japanese Silver Grass, Zebra Grass

Description:

Excellent ornamental discovered on the Japanese island of Yaku Jima. Compact, clumping grass with finely textured silver-striped green foliage. Silver plums appear in late summer and remain attractive into winter.

Recommendations:

- Sow under cover in mid-spring in trays of compost. - Transplant in late spring into garden soil. - You can also buy plants in posts and plant them out in autumn or spring.
