Description:
   Dense, low growing, evergreen shrub with glossy dark green foliage with a golden yellow center. Dependable and durable landscape performer. Outstanding for mass plantings or as groundcover.

E. fortunei is a spreading shrub whose branches can be as much as 5 m (16 ft) long. It has a number of variegated varieties.
 
Recommendations:
- Plant in spring and prune immediately to obtain dense shrubs.

- Mulch with forest bark or peat every spring, and water generously in summer.

- Watch out for cochineal insects and treat as appropriate.
