Nymphaea ''
Common Names: Water Lily, Water Nymph

Description:
A popular plant found in local lakes and ponds. With the popularity of water gardening, these can be found in many yards. Numerous varieties are available with many different color offerings along with growing conditions.

Recommendations:
- Plant in spring, when the water has begun to warm up. Place the crown in a pot filled with heavy soil containing plenty of clay. The depth of planting under the water can be anywhere between 35 and 150 cm (14 and 60 in).

- If the pond is sufficiently deep, the Nymphaea can be left in position over winter, with no protection. Otherwise, keep them in wet sand in a cold room.
